Edinburgh Filmmaker is led by John Need, an award-winning photographer, filmmaker and certified drone pilot based in Edinburgh.
 

Since 2005, John has produced commercial photography and business films for global brands, public organisations and ambitious companies across Scotland, the UK and internationally. Clients include Google, Microsoft, Channel 4, HSBC, H&M, Mastercard, the National Trust for Scotland and the Crown Estate Scotland.
 

Working on location worldwide, the focus is on clear, well-crafted visuals that serve a real business purpose — from corporate films and branded content to events, portraits and commercial photography.
